Grounds at the Asilomar CenterWe took a four day trip up to one of our favorite places to relax, Monterey Beach in CA. The weather was beautiful and a relief from the heat we had at home.
We stayed at Asilomar State Beach & Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove. The Conference Grounds totals 107 acres which include the hotel area, beach, San Dunes, Historical Buildings, forests and Nature Trail. It was a little like going back to Summer Camp with the rooms having no frills...TV or Phones! We ate breakfast in a huge dining hall called Crocker Dining Hall built around 1913 by Architect, Julie Morgan. The building are done in classic Arts and Crafts style.
